
Verbrec (ASX:VBC), an engineering and mining technology services provider across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and beyond, has announced the award of new contracts exceeding $20 million in H1 FY26.
The contracts, a mix of individual and multi-year engagements, span Verbrec’s four core transition markets: gas market transition, electrification & energy storage, sustainable mining, and water security.
In New Zealand, Verbrec’s engineering team will deliver a feasibility study for a new biogas facility in Auckland, strengthening its position as a preferred partner in the growing biogas and biomethane sector.
The company also secured extensions for key gas pipeline operations and maintenance contracts in Queensland, covering the Cheepie to Barcaldine and Senex Mimas pipelines, highlighting its ongoing role in the gas transition market.
Following its December acquisition of Alliance Automation, Verbrec has expanded its operational technology and cybersecurity capabilities.
Alliance Automation is engaged by a major energy company to conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and implement enhancements at battery energy storage sites in Queensland.
In mining and digital solutions, Verbrec secured a 36-month extension for its StacksOn digital twin software at BHP mines and ports in Western Australia and continues to support copper operations at Olympic Dam and Prominent Hill.
Additionally, Verbrec and Alliance Automation have been awarded projects in water security, including SCADA upgrades for a Queensland utility and pump station enhancements at a South Australian defence site.
