Ventia secures $340M Victorian road maintenance contracts
Ventia Services Group (ASX:VNT) announced an expansion of its Australian operations, securing a dual-region contract for road maintenance services across Victoria.
Awarded by the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning, the agreement falls under the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract model and covers essential infrastructure within the Grampians and Eastern metropolitan regions.
The initial four-year base term is estimated to be worth approximately $340 million, encompassing a comprehensive suite of services including routine maintenance, safety inspections, hazard rectification, and emergency response across both rural and metropolitan arterial roads.
The deal, set to commence on July 1, highlights the state government's commitment to reliable regional transport while providing Ventia with substantial long-term growth opportunities.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Grampians contract includes a two-year extension option, while the Eastern metropolitan contract offers the potential for a four-year extension (2+2).
Managing Director and Group CEO Dean Banks stated that the award reinforces Ventia's position as a "partner of choice" for large-scale network management, noting that their decades of sector experience will support "safe, reliable journeys" for Victorian communities while delivering sustained value for state assets.
While the $340 million figure includes minor capital works subject to future budget approvals, the partnership signals a major step forward in modernising Victoria’s road network through the integrated VRMC delivery framework.
At the time of reporting, Ventia Services Group’s share price was $5.90.
