Ventia secures $133M WA Marine contract extension
Infrastructure services provider Ventia Services Group (ASX:VNT) has secured a major five-year contract extension valued at approximately $133 million to continue managing and operating the Australian Marine Complex-Common User Facility in Henderson, Western Australia.
The renewed agreement with the Western Australian Government is scheduled to commence on July 1, 2027, following the conclusion of the current term.
Ventia has been at the helm of the multi-user industrial facility since mid-2022, working alongside the state government to develop the precinct into a premier national hub for heavy engineering, shipbuilding, and maritime sustainment.
Situated just south of Fremantle, the AMC-CUF serves as a critical asset for large-scale resources and commercial industries, while directly reinforcing Australia's sovereign defence capabilities.
The deep-water facility features specialised load-out wharves, extensive fabrication halls, and a floating dock system designed to service major naval and commercial vessels.
Commenting on the strategic renewal, Ventia Managing Director and Group CEO Dean Banks emphasised the precinct's expanding national role. "Henderson is a critical hub for Australia’s maritime capability, and we are well positioned to support its next phase and to capture future opportunities as they develop," Banks said.
The long-term extension provides Ventia with strong operational visibility and cements its position as a trusted sovereign partner in managing critical national infrastructure, aligning with both state economic priorities and federal maritime defence objectives.
At the time of reporting, Ventia Services’ share price was $6.28.
