Vection Technologies (ASX:VR1) announced a major milestone in its defence portfolio with a new $2.2 million order for its proprietary cyber and data appliance, code-named FEDRA (Far Edge Data Retention Appliance).

The award, issued under a massive $22.3 million multi-year framework agreement established in September 2025, marks the first official deployment of FEDRA into active military operations for a repeat defence customer.

Designed for high-security and operationally constrained environments, FEDRA serves as an advanced edge data platform that optimizes backup speeds and data deduplication.

By integrating Vection’s recent investments in Algho Conversational AI, the appliance enables sophisticated AI-driven data correlation, supporting complex multi-agent AI military operations.

The technology is specifically engineered to provide real-time intelligence and resilient data availability at the "tactical edge," allowing for more effective, AI-assisted decision-making across distributed defence systems.

At the time of reporting, Vection Technologies' share price was $0.030.
