Unity Metals (ASX:UM1) has commenced an 8,000-metre diamond drilling program at its flagship Ngot Gold Project in Cambodia, marking the company's first drill campaign following its recent ASX listing.
The planned 50-hole program is underway at the Ngot Central prospect, where a strong and coherent gold-in-soil anomaly is linked to a 1.5km by 1km diorite intrusion and multiple artisanal workings exposing high-grade, intrusion-related gold mineralisation.
Ngot Central is one of five drill-ready targets to be tested for the first time at the project, which is located just 2km south of Emerald Resources NL’s Okvau Gold Mine.
Unity said a second drill rig will be mobilised in coming weeks, with the program expected to be completed within three months, while initial assay results from the first holes are anticipated later this quarter.
At the time of reporting, Unity Metals' share price was $0.27.
