Trek Metals launches pre-drill fieldwork at Kuro target

Share

Trek Metals (ASX:TKM) kicked off vital on-ground preparations ahead of its highly anticipated regional drilling campaign.

The company confirmed that earthworks are now actively underway at its primary regional drill targets.

To ensure strict cultural heritage compliance and environmental preservation, all initial ground-clearing activities are being conducted under the direct supervision of Jaru monitors.

In addition to the civil works, a geophysical exploration programme is slated to commence next week.

Trek Metals has secured top-tier contractors to finalise target definitions, with the imminent arrival of field crews on site.

Atlas Geophysics has been mobilised to undertake extensional ground gravity surveying, while Moombarriga Geoscience will concurrently execute detailed induced polarisation surveying to map potential subsurface mineralisation.

Logistical preparations are also advancing rapidly to ensure seamless operations once the rigs arrive.

The company has secured and delivered bulk fuel supplies directly to the site, establishing the infrastructure needed to support continuous operations.

Drilling at the high-priority Kuro target is on track to commence in early June. The timeline remains subject to the final receipt of heritage clearances, alongside the completion of essential access tracks and drill pads.

At the time of reporting, Trek Metals’ share price was $0.16.
