Real estate business The Agency Group Australia (ASX:AU1) confirmed a non-binding merger proposal valuing its shares at $0.04 each.

The announcement followed unauthorised media speculation published in the Australian Financial Review on Aug. 5.

Under the conditional proposal, private firm Aura Group would complete a scrip-for-scrip merger with the company.

The company stated that the board granted an exclusivity period for due diligence while commercial terms remain unfinalised.

Following the announcement, The Agency Group Australia share price was unchanged at $0.32.

The two businesses previously discussed managing rent roll funds and financing property acquisition opportunities across regional markets.

The company reported first-half 2026 revenue of $57.1 million while narrowing its net loss to $828,000.
