Tennant Minerals begins diamond drilling at Bluebird discovery
- Tennant Minerals has launched a new diamond drilling programme at its Bluebird copper-gold discovery in the Northern Territory.
- Shares in the company were up 6.7% at $0.008 following the morning announcement.
- The campaign aims to test major 800-metre extensions along the mineralised corridor following recent geophysical modelling.
Tennant Minerals (ASX:TMS) has commenced a new diamond drilling programme to test extensions at its high-grade Bluebird copper-gold discovery.
The current drilling campaign follows structural targeting and geophysical modelling that highlighted a Warrego-scale target footprint within the Bluebird-Perseverance fault corridor.
TMS General Manager, Chris Ramsay, commented, "Bluebird has only been tested over a strike-length of less than 500m, and recent structural analysis and geophysical modelling suggests the mineralisation could extend over the entire 1.5km strike-length of a newly interpreted fault-intersection and geophysical corridor extending west of Bluebird to Perseverance."
The programme will test potential 800-metre extensions of the high-grade copper-gold system.
Following the announcement, the Tennant Minerals share price was up at $0.008.
The explorer previously secured $2.8 million in placement proceeds during July to fund its ongoing multi-stage exploration initiatives.
The company continues work across the Barkly Project to establish a standalone critical metals mining footprint.
