Tali Resources (ASX:TR2) has commenced diamond drilling at the Khya prospect within its West Arunta Project in Western Australia.

The maiden drill programme follows regional exploration work testing large-scale magnetic and gravity anomalies.

"It is great to see Tali's maiden diamond drill hole now underway at Khya, a compelling conceptual copper-gold and critical minerals target within the underexplored Lake Mackay Fault Zone in the West Arunta," said Tali Resources Managing Director Rhys Bradley.

The project is backed by a $270,000 co-funding grant provided by the Geological Survey of Western Australia.

Following the announcement, the Tali Resources share price was unchanged at $0.39.

The company holds over 4,000 km² of tenure in the West Arunta region.

Exploration efforts remain focused on identifying Tier 1 mineral deposits along the 70-kilometre Lake Mackay Fault structure.
