Syntara reports lower brain inflammation in 20 patients

Clinical-stage company Syntara (ASX:SNT) announced that 20 of 30 patients recorded lower brain inflammation from baseline.
This preliminary analysis represents the first interventional study to directly target neuroinflammation in patients with isolated REM sleep behaviour disorder.
"To demonstrate statistically significant reductions in a short period of time is notable and suggests the drug may be modulating disease-relevant neuroinflammatory pathways," said Macquarie University Director of the Parkinson's Disease Research Clinic Prof. Simon Lewis.
The company filed a new provisional patent application, with full results expected in the third quarter of 2026.
Following the announcement, the Syntara share price was up at $0.024.
Before the announcement, the company reported that its skin scarring trial had exceeded 50% patient enrolment.
The company also secured positive regulatory feedback in the United States for its myelofibrosis drug amsulostat.
