Synertec partners with Hitachi Energy for BESS
Synertec (ASX:SOP) announced a landmark collaboration with global technology giant Hitachi Energy, aimed at capturing the rapidly expanding battery energy storage solutions and microgrid markets across Australia.
The partnership is designed to integrate Hitachi Energy’s world-leading power conversion and grid integration technologies with Synertec’s proprietary Powerhouse technology platform.
The synergy combines global scale with local, engineering-led systems integration, specifically targeting the 5-30 MW BESS range where industrial demand is currently surging.
A primary focus of the alliance is the critical intersection between the traditional energy sector and the burgeoning data centre market.
As Australia undergoes a significant energy transition, the need for reliable, high-performance power systems has become paramount.
The collaboration will leverage Hitachi’s digitally enabled solutions to support Synertec’s mission to scale its Powerhouse platform, including providing direct connections to the national energy grid.
The move strengthens Synertec’s existing partner ecosystem, positioning the company as a key player in the nation’s shift towards decentralised and sustainable power.
Synertec Managing Director Michael Carroll highlighted the importance of the deal, noting a "clear convergence in demand" for scalable power systems.
By uniting Hitachi’s technical prowess with Synertec’s agile delivery model, the companies aim to provide a superior value proposition for energy users requiring robust microgrid infrastructure.
At the time of reporting, Synertec’s share price was $0.031.
