Swoop Holdings appoints John Bird interim CFO
Swoop Holdings (ASX:SWP) announced a change to its executive leadership team, confirming that Patricia Jones has stepped down from her position as CFO.
The board expressed its gratitude to Jones for her dedicated service and contributions to the company’s growth throughout her tenure, offering its best wishes for her future professional pursuits.
To ensure a seamless transition and maintain the organisation’s current operational momentum, the company has immediately appointed John Bird as interim CFO.
Bird arrives at Swoop with a formidable pedigree, boasting over 30 years of public company experience.
His extensive background includes senior financial and strategic leadership roles across several ASX-listed entities within the technology, gaming, and biotech landscapes.
Most recently, Bird served as the CFO for Ai-Media Technologies and currently holds a non-executive director position at Spacetalk.
His deep institutional knowledge, garnered from previous roles at Regeneus, NSW TAB, iCash Payment Systems, and AWA, is expected to provide steady hands while the board initiates a comprehensive search for a permanent successor.
The company highlighted that it continues to see tangible improvements in its overall business performance, consistent with the positive trajectory outlined in its most recent quarterly reports.
Bird will work in close collaboration with the executive team to uphold this performance during the transition period.
