Swift TV secures official Netflix approval for platform
Swift TV (ASX:STV) announced the completion of a multi-year certification process, securing final approval from Netflix to integrate the streaming service directly into its platform.
The milestone establishes Swift TV as the premier enterprise Connective TV product in Australia to operate within Google’s enterprise operator framework, having met exhaustive technical, security, and user experience standards required for official deployment.
The integration represents a shift in managed accommodation environments, such as aged care and mining villages, where guests and residents increasingly expect seamless access to personal streaming accounts.
By bridging the gap between consumer entertainment and professional infrastructure, the platform allows users to log in to Netflix via the native interface while ensuring that enterprise-grade controls remain intact.
The specialised features include automated logouts to protect user privacy upon checkout and the ability for operators to broadcast emergency alerts and critical communications directly over active viewing sessions.
Swift TV CEO Brian Mangano emphasised that this achievement validates the platform's ability to meet the high-performance benchmarks set by global streaming brands.
As Netflix continues to limit support for traditional casting methods, approved hardware like Swift TV becomes essential for operators aiming to provide high-quality entertainment without sacrificing operational capability.
