Star Entertainment Group (ASX:SGR) has finalised its exit from the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane ownership consortium.

Joint venture partners Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium have assumed full control of the multibillion-dollar precinct, moving to equal 50% stakes following the completion of a strategic buy-out and debt refinancing.

While Star relinquishes its equity, the embattled gaming giant will maintain its role as the site’s operator under a newly revised management agreement.

The recapitalisation is expected to provide a stable financial runway for the development, securing approximately 2,700 jobs and positioning the precinct as a cornerstone of Brisbane’s hospitality sector in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic Games.

Looking ahead, the partners are slated to further consolidate their footprint by acquiring Star’s remaining Treasury assets by the second half of 2026.
