St Barbara gold production up 8% in June quarter

Gold miner St Barbara (ASX:SBM) lifted its quarterly gold production by 8% to 14,658 total ounces.

This production beat the company's previous guidance range of 5,600 to 6,800 attributable ounces.

Processed material rose 19% to 589,000 tonnes, with an average grade of 1.00 gramme per tonne.

Total attributable cash, bullion, and listed investments reached $509 million at the end of June.

Following the announcement, the St Barbara share price was down at $0.41.

The company stated that its transaction with Kumul Mineral remained incomplete on June 30.

Management anticipated issuing the final quarterly report with complete cost details in late July.
