Solis Minerals (ASX:SLM) has commenced a 10-drillhole diamond drilling programme spanning 2,000 metres at its Mandacaru Lithium Project in Brazil to test a coherent pegmatite system.
The campaign follows the mobilisation of an exploration team and a drill rig to test an 800-metre long lithium-caesium-tantalum corridor.
The company stated that the exploration work at depth is designed to confirm the geometry and continuity of potential spodumene mineralisation.
In addition to the Brazilian operations, directors approved a separate drilling campaign scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026 at the Cinto Copper Project in Peru.
Following the announcement, the Solis Minerals share price was down at $0.092.
The explorer previously secured a $6 million placement in May to fully fund these multi-country drilling campaigns and generate regional exploration targets.
The activities form part of a broader strategy to establish a pipeline of critical mineral assets across South American mining districts.
