Solis Minerals (ASX:SLM) has commenced a 5,000-metre diamond drilling campaign across 10 initial holes at its Cucho Copper Project in Peru.
The programme follows recent exploration efforts that expanded the copper-molybdenum-silver mineralisation target area roughly 1km northeast of historical drilling locations.
The initial campaign tests three priority target zones, supported by a total of 34 permitted drill holes that allow operational flexibility as assay results arrive.
Following the announcement, the Solis Minerals share price was down at $0.033.
The company currently holds the right to acquire up to 100% of the Cucho project under its existing agreement.
Solis Minerals is simultaneously advancing work on its broader resource portfolio, including ongoing drilling at the Cinto copper project in Peru and pending assay results from its Brazilian lithium projects.
