Smart Parking acquires American Parking for US$12M

Smart Parking (ASX:SPZ) has executed an agreement to acquire American Parking for US$12 million.

The target business expands the company's footprint after generating 2025 revenues of US$1.4 million.

"We are delighted to welcome the American Parking team and customers to the Smart Parking Group," said Smart Parking CEO Paul Gillespie.

The transaction will be settled with US$1 million in deferred shares.

Following the announcement, the Smart Parking share price was up at $0.80.

The deal increases the total number of US sites under management to over 200 locations across seven states.

The company stated that these new locations provide opportunities to leverage its proprietary SmartCloud technology platform.
