SKS Technologies (ASX:SKS) announced an expansion of its project pipeline, securing an additional $80 million in work for a major hyperscale data centre facility in Melbourne's western region.
The latest injection brings the total contract value with construction partner Hickory to a staggering $210 million.
The project, designated as MEL02A, represents a massive leap in scale from the initial $130 million letter of intent signed last November.
The surge in contract value follows a strategic decision by the data centre operator to expand the facility’s capacity from 90MW to 126MW, necessitating a broader scope of complex electrical infrastructure.
Under the terms of the executed contract, SKS Technologies will deliver the design and construction of a full suite of critical electrical systems.
This includes high and medium voltage works, the installation and commissioning of multiple power distribution units, and the implementation of extensive cable support systems and main feeds.
CEO Matthew Jinks highlighted that the achievement solidifies the company’s position as a fixture in the Victorian market, having now serviced the majority of global hyperscale providers.
The company is also pivoting towards growth in New South Wales, recently securing a $3 million infrastructure upgrade for a hyperscale operator in Western Sydney.
The move is underpinned by their recent NSW acquisition and signals an intent to replicate their Victorian success across the border.
At the time of reporting, SKS Technologies’ share price was $5.74.
