WestStar Industrial (ASX:WSI) has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, SIMPEC, has been awarded a $20 million construction contract for a new filtration plant at Glencore’s McArthur River Mine in the Northern Territory.

The project, which includes structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works, will also involve modifications to existing infrastructure and the installation of ancillary items.

Located approximately 900km southeast of Darwin, the McArthur River Mine is a key site in Glencore’s operations.

SIMPEC Managing Director Mark Dimasi said the contract represents a significant milestone in the company's national growth strategy, highlighting its capability to deliver complex SMP and E&I projects safely and efficiently.

The project is set to commence immediately and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.

At the time of reporting, WestStar Industrial's share price was $0.087.
