Sierra Nevada Gold appoints Adam Oehlman as CEO
Sierra Nevada Gold (ASX:SNX) appointed highly experienced mining executive Adam Oehlman as its CEO, effective June 11.
Oehlman steps into the role with an extensive background spanning technical, commercial, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions sectors.
He most recently served as the leader of African Gold Limited, where he guided the company through a major resource growth phase and a corporate transaction valued at over $550 million.
The appointment is designed to accelerate SNX’s development across its high-impact international portfolio.
Oehlman’s immediate focus will be driving the expansion of the company’s key assets in Saudi Arabia and the United States.
In Saudi Arabia, SNX is currently advancing a critical three-rig drilling programme at its 100%-owned As Safra Copper-Gold Project, targeting promising extensions to known mineralisation.
The company is pushing forward with its Nevada portfolio in the US, where underground refurbishment and metallurgical testing are underway to support near-term trial mining at the New Pass Gold Project.
To ensure a seamless leadership transition, Executive Director Peter Moore will remain actively involved, supporting the execution of the company’s ongoing work programmes in both Nevada and Saudi Arabia.
