SGH (ASX:SGH) has announced the appointment of Matt McKenzie as the new CEO of its Boral building products division, effective April 1.

McKenzie, who has served as Boral’s CEO since July 2025, succeeds Vik Bansal, who flagged his intention to step down last year after leading the company since late 2022.

While McKenzie takes the helm of the Stokes family-controlled business, Bansal will transition to a seat on the SGH board.

SGH CEO Ryan Stokes endorsed the internal promotion, citing McKenzie's extensive operational background—including senior roles at GE, Cleanaway, and Oracle Utilities—as the ideal fit for Boral’s next phase of growth.

At the time of reporting, SGH’s share price was $39.30.
