Serko overhauls leadership team to accelerate growth
Travel technology provider Serko (ASX:SKO) announced an executive restructure designed to fast-track its strategic execution within an increasingly competitive, AI-driven market.
Effective immediately, the company has expanded the remit of COO Matthew Gerrie and promoted David Holyoke to Chief Product Officer.
Under the newly expanded structure, Gerrie, who joined Serko in early 2025, will assume day-to-day operational control across all core business functions, including commercial, finance, people, technology, and product.
Working closely with CEO and co-founder Darrin Grafton, Gerrie's operational oversight is intended to free up the CEO to focus on long-term industry positioning and external partnerships.
Gerrie brings extensive global travel tech experience to the broader role, having previously spent a decade managing major strategic initiatives and data science divisions at Booking Holdings.
David Holyoke has been elevated to Chief Product Officer and joins the executive team.
Based in the United States, Holyoke has over 20 years of corporate travel experience, including senior roles at Airbnb and Travel Leaders.
Since joining Serko in 2024, he has been instrumental in leading the development of Serko.ai, the company’s new multi-agentic AI solution, whilst driving growth for Booking.com for Business.
CEO Darrin Grafton noted that navigating the era of artificial intelligence rewards bold execution, stating that the leadership changes will provide the operational discipline and pace required to convert technological potential into tangible results.
