Sea Forest (ASX:SEA) announced a landmark 12-month exclusive agreement with Avondale Ag, a family-operated farming enterprise based in Rowena, New South Wales.

The partnership focuses on the integration of SeaFeed, a specialised seaweed-based feed supplement, into the diets of approximately 5,000 head of cattle.

The full cohort is slated for induction by October, marking a step forward in the adoption of methane-abating solutions within the Australian livestock industry.

The agreement underscores a growing momentum for Sea Forest, which now holds contracts to supplement a staggering 123,000 head of livestock nationwide.

SeaFeed utilises the unique properties of Asparagopsis seaweed to significantly reduce methane emissions from ruminant animals while simultaneously driving productivity gains for farmers.

Under the exclusivity terms, Avondale Ag has committed to using SeaFeed as its sole methane-reduction supplement, ensuring a streamlined and focused implementation of the technology.

The collaboration highlights the increasing commercial viability of science-based feed additives.

As the agricultural sector faces mounting pressure to decarbonise, Sea Forest’s ability to scale its proprietary technology offers a tangible pathway for producers to meet environmental goals without sacrificing performance or animal health.

At the time of reporting, Sea Forest's share price was $2.28.
