Scalare Partners acquires tech startup Fishburners
Scalare Partners (ASX:SCP) announced the acquisition of Fishburners.
Fishburners has long been a cornerstone of the Australian innovation ecosystem, supporting entrepreneurs through dedicated coworking spaces, mentorship, and structured founder programmes.
The move aims to preserve and strengthen the iconic Fishburners brand while seamlessly integrating it into Scalare’s expanding national network.
The combination of the two entities is expected to bolster support for scalable, early-stage technology startups, granting them enhanced access to crucial infrastructure, services, and capital pathways.
Scalare plans to leverage the acquisition to generate revenue and proprietary deal flow for its investment portfolio.
As part of the integration, Fishburners members will gain immediate access to Tank Stream Labs locations across Australia, which includes a newly dedicated Fishburners Hub at the flagship Kent Street campus in Sydney.
Scalare has also revealed plans to relaunch the highly popular Fishburners Pitch Nights and founder showcase programmes on a national scale.
The firm intends to establish a dedicated Fishburners Investment Vehicle, which will look to actively fund select startups emerging from these pitch initiatives, subject to final regulatory and commercial considerations.
At the time of reporting, Scalare Partners’ share price was $0.058.
