
Sandfire Resources FY26 net profit surges 282% to US$355M

Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) reported a 282% surge in net profit after tax to US$355.8 million for the 12 months ended June 30.
The annual earnings expansion follows a prior corresponding period that yielded lower returns, driven by operational ramp-ups at key mining assets.
"We have further extended our track record of replacing reserves and have identified sulphide mineralisation at both MATSA and Motheo that has the potential to significantly enhance our life of mine plans should further work planned for FY27 confirm geological continuity," said Sandfire Resources Managing Director Brendan Harris.
Revenue from ordinary activities rose 41% to US$1.65 billion, while underlying earnings increased 214% to US$350 million.
The company declared a final fully franked dividend of 35 Australian cents per share, with payment scheduled for Sept. 30.
Following the announcement, the Sandfire Resources share price was up at $22.78.
Net tangible assets per share expanded from US$3.69 to US$4.30 over the 12-month period.
The business continues to operate the MATSA complex in Spain alongside the Motheo copper operation in Botswana.
