Ryman Healthcare reports eight quarter resale peak
- Ryman Healthcare reported 379 total occupation right agreement sales for Q2 FY27, including 312 resales that marked an eight-quarter high.
- Strong contracting activity boosted resales volumes by 14% year on year and reduced new retirement living stock by 67 units.
- Demand for assisted living and positive early adoption of the Ryman Select product continue to drive business growth.
Ryman Healthcare (ASX:RYM) recorded 379 sales of occupation right agreements for the second quarter ended Sept. 30, driven by an eight-quarter peak in resale activity.
Resale volumes increased 14% compared to the same period last year, while net resales contract volumes grew 11% year on year following 7% growth in the previous quarter.
“Demand for serviced apartments remains strong and continues to benefit from structural growth of assisted living,” said Ryman Healthcare CEO Naomi James.
The company reduced its new retirement living stock by 67 units during the quarter to 347 units, maintaining its full-year build guidance of 157 to 168 retirement living units and aged care beds.
Total aged care occupancy reached 94% for the quarter, up 3.3 percentage points from the prior period.
Following the announcement, the Ryman Healthcare share price was unchanged at $1.41.
The group opened the new main building at Christchurch's Richard Hadlee Village in October, adding 77 retirement living units and 65 care beds.
Early rollout results indicate that approximately one-third of new serviced apartment applicants select the flexible Ryman Select service option where offered.
