Red Mountain Mining (ASX:RMX) commenced a high-stakes field exploration campaign across its United States antimony portfolio, capitalising on the end of the Northern Hemisphere winter to fast-track its 2026 programme.

The explorer is mobilising crews this month to initiate systematic surface geological mapping and sampling at the Thompson Falls Project in Montana, a site already distinguished by high-grade rock chip results peaking at 36.5% antimony and 1.12 ppm gold.

A primary focus for the technical team is the historical Eastern Star mine. Recent analysis of sixteen waste dump samples confirmed elevated mineralisation, prompting a deeper investigation to pinpoint the source and orientation of the underlying quartz-siderite-stibnite vein system.

Should the structural corridors be successfully mapped, the company expects to generate priority drill targets using advanced electrical techniques, including controlled-source audio-frequency magnetotellurics.

To bolster its operational capacity, Red Mountain has engaged KC Harvey Environmental, an industry leader with extensive regulatory and field experience across Montana, Idaho, and Utah.

KCH will provide the boots-on-the-ground geological crews and navigate the complex US approvals process for upcoming work at the Yellow Pine and Silver Dollar projects.

Further strengthening its leadership, the company has appointed veteran geologist Dr Max Baker to its advisory board.
