Recce Pharmaceuticals (ASX:RCE) has executed an exclusive licensing agreement with Arrotex Pharmaceuticals to register and commercialise its R327G topical gel across Australia and New Zealand.

The new deal grants Arrotex exclusive rights in those markets while ensuring Recce maintains its role as the sole manufacturer.

"This agreement brings together Recce's anti-infective development platform and Arrotex's established regulatory, market access and commercial capabilities in Australia and New Zealand," said Recce Pharmaceuticals Managing Director and CEO James Graham.

Under the contractual terms, Recce will receive a profit share of the gross margin generated from product sales.

The partnership targets the commercial distribution of treatments for diabetic foot infections across both nations.

Following the announcement, the Recce Pharmaceuticals share price was down at $0.34.

Recce focuses on developing synthetic anti-infectives to combat antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains.

Arrotex operates as Australia's largest pharmaceutical distributor with extensive regional distribution networks.
