  • QMines reported broad copper mineralisation at its Mt Chalmers Project.
  • The announcement supported a 3.13% rise in the company's share price.
  • Assays are pending for 19 holes as part of a 10,000m drilling campaign.

QMines (ASX:QML) has intersected a 44m zone of copper mineralisation at its Mt Chalmers open pit in Queensland.

The drill results build on the company's continuous exploration efforts aimed at expanding its regional resource footprint.

QMines Exploration Manager, Tom Bartschi, said, “The 44m intersection in 26MCRD005 is a strong result, particularly the higher-grade copper intervals within it, while 26MCDD011 is also encouraging given the hole ended in mineralisation and remains untested below 150.5m.”

Detailed findings revealed drill hole 26MCRD005 returned 44m at 1.03% copper, 0.15 g/t gold, and 2.3 g/t silver from 103m depth.

The company stated that assay results remain pending for 19 holes covering 2,314m while two rigs continue operations.

Following the announcement, the QMines share price was up at $0.066.

The 10,000m multi-rig drilling programme is designed to support the upcoming definitive feasibility study for the project.
