Pursuit Minerals (ASX:PUR) announced an expansion of its flagship Rio Grande Sur Lithium Project in Salta Province, Argentina.

Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Pursuit Minerals Argentina S.A., the company has executed a binding agreement with the Salta provincial mining company, Recursos Energéticos y Mineros Salta S.A.

The agreement secures exclusive exploration and acquisition rights over the Rio Grande I and Demasía Rio Grande I tenements, encompassing approximately 1,362 hectares.

The deal grants Pursuit 100% ownership of all mining rights and titles within the concession areas, with REMSA retaining no royalty, residual interest, or future claims over the ground.

The newly acquired areas sit directly adjacent to Pursuit’s existing Mito tenement, where advanced CSAMT reprocessing recently identified a large, coherent conductive system interpreted as a priority brine target.

The addition effectively extends the project footprint along the same highly prospective geological trend, lifting the total area of the Rio Grande Sur Project to approximately 10,595 hectares within the Rio Grande Salar.

Pursuit Managing Director & CEO, Aaron Revelle, stated that the acquisition marks a major strategic milestone, enhancing the potential scale of the project and providing a clear pathway for future resource growth.

He emphasised that securing high-quality ground on these terms strengthens the company's position as it continues to advance Rio Grande Sur towards becoming a significant lithium development project.
