Pure Resources (ASX:PR1) has confirmed graphite as a critical input for advanced thermal management applications, reinforcing its strategic relevance for high-performance heat dissipation in hyperscale data centres and defence systems.

Building on its Garnet Hills Creek project, Pure is aggressively pursuing downstream opportunities, including data centre cooling components, heat sinks, thermal interface materials, and defence-grade weapons cooling solutions.

The company has expanded US-focused collaborations, engaging multiple institutions and Department of Energy-funded research groups to accelerate technology validation and market alignment.

Concurrently, Pure is exploring US technologies for rare earth element extraction from industrial garnet and advancing R&D that leverages its graphite and garnet assets for high-value thermal management applications.

Executive Director Patric Glovac highlighted that Garnet Hills' combination of graphite, premium garnet, and potential REE positions Pure to capture emerging industrial opportunities in strategically critical markets, with a mine-to-market strategy designed to secure Tier-1 US customers while emphasising ESG-aligned, downstream-integrated supply chains.

At the time of reporting, Pure Resources' share price was $0.26.
