  • Proteomics International has been granted a United States patent for its proprietary PromarkerEndo endometriosis diagnostic blood test.
  • The company's shares experienced a positive market reaction immediately following the announcement of the regulatory approval.
  • The new intellectual property protection is intended to drive the company's global commercialisation strategy within the American healthcare market.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted a patent extending until March 2041 to Proteomics International Laboratories (ASX:PIQ) for its non-invasive endometriosis diagnostic blood test.

The regulatory milestone builds on existing intellectual property protection already secured in Japan.

“The grant of this patent by the USPTO is a major achievement and an important validation of the novelty and commercial potential of PromarkerEndo,” said Proteomics International CEO and Managing Director David Morris.

The company stated that the decision is expected to underpin its commercialisation pathway by enabling future licensing opportunities and international distribution partnerships.

Following the announcement, the Proteomics International share price was up 22.58% at $0.19.

The company recently relocated its registered office to the Harry Perkins Institute to streamline its ongoing precision diagnostics and bio-analytical laboratory operations.

The relocation follows previous operational updates in 2026, which included seeking official stock exchange quotations for newly issued shares and advising option holders of upcoming expiration dates.
