Pro Medicus (ASX:PME) has solidified its long-standing partnership with one of America's premier healthcare providers, announcing a five-year contract renewal with Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine.
The deal, valued at approximately $37 million, ensures the continued implementation of the Visage 7 Viewer across NM’s expansive network, which includes the prestigious Northwestern Memorial Hospital and more than 200 clinical sites throughout Illinois.
The renewed agreement is structured on a transaction-based model but features enhanced financial terms compared to the previous term.
Pro Medicus confirmed that the new contract includes both increased minimum volume guarantees and an elevated fee per transaction, reflecting the substantial growth in examination volumes NM has experienced since first standardising on the Visage platform five years ago.
Dr Sam Hupert, CEO of Pro Medicus, expressed strong satisfaction with the extension, noting that the commitment from a top-tier academic health system like Northwestern Medicine validates the clinical and financial return on investment provided by their technology.
The announcement follows a highly successful period for the company; Dr Hupert highlighted that Pro Medicus has secured nearly $80 million in contract renewals within the last month alone.
At the time of reporting, Pro Medicus’ share price was $128.43.
