Pro Medicus secures $16M US contract renewal
Pro Medicus (ASX:PME) has secured a major five-year, $16 million contract renewal with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Centre.
The agreement, finalised through Pro Medicus' wholly-owned US subsidiary, Visage Imaging, expands upon their existing partnership.
The renewed deal incorporates the implementation of the Visage 7 Workflow and Visage 7 Cardiology Imaging platforms.
Based on a transaction-based model with potential upside, the contract was successfully negotiated with increased minimums and an elevated fee per transaction.
OSUWMC is a multi-disciplinary academic medical centre based in Columbus, Ohio.
The institution employs approximately 22,000 staff and 2,000 physicians, supporting over 1,400 inpatient beds across six hospitals whilst serving as the primary teaching hospital for The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Dr Sam Hupert, CEO of Pro Medicus, stated that the expansion confirms the extensive native capabilities of their technology as clients look to retire legacy solutions and scale the Visage 7 Enterprise Imaging Platform.
According to Dr Hupert, the newest deal brings the company’s total renewals for the financial year to an impressive $141 million.
He emphasised that the transaction maintains Pro Medicus’s track record of client retention and underpins their belief that the solution provides an unparalleled return on investment from both a financial and a clinical perspective.
