A $200 million surge in unusual bets has hits prediction markets. Bloomberg News Cross-Asset Reporter Denista Tsekova deep dives into new age of online betting in predictions markets, popularized by platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi. A Bloomberg review found that at least 34,000 trades on Polymarket between August 2025 and June 2026 were flagged as potential insider trades. Tsekova explains that while Polymarket has implemented new rules regarding insder trades recently, "the market has changed their opinion a lot on what constitutes insider trading."
