Prairie Lithium DLE unit enters final testing

Prairie Lithium (ASX:PL9) announced that its commercial-scale direct lithium extraction unit has entered the final stages of testing.

The validation phase represents the last major milestone before the advanced extraction technology is deployed to its operations in Saskatchewan, Canada.

The upcoming deployment marks a pivotal transition for the company as it moves from pilot-scale validation to full commercial-scale applications in the field.

Designed to rapidly separate lithium from subsurface brines, the proprietary DLE technology offers a highly efficient and environmentally conscious alternative to traditional, time-consuming evaporation ponds.

Engineering teams at the company’s specialised facility are currently conducting rigorous performance stress tests to ensure the unit operates at peak efficiency under simulated field conditions.

The final testing protocols focus on optimising lithium recovery rates, refining fluid processing speeds, and ensuring long-term mechanical reliability.

Once these final trials are completed, the unit will be transported directly to the Saskatchewan site, where it will be integrated into existing infrastructure to commence active resource production.

Successful field deployment is expected to boost the regional supply chain for battery-grade lithium, positioning the company as a key contributor to the global electric vehicle and clean energy sectors.
