Prairie Lithium (ASX:PL9) announced that construction of its flagship commercial lithium facility is now in full swing.

Following the installation of foundation piles and grade beams at ‘Pad #1’ earlier this year, building assembly is underway.

To expedite the project, the company is utilising a specialised prefabricated steel building system.

By manufacturing integrated wall panels in a controlled factory environment concurrently with on-site foundation works, Prairie Lithium has compressed its construction schedule and minimised risks associated with the unpredictable Canadian weather.

The strategic approach ensures the project remains on track to monetise its world-class 4.6-million-tonne Lithium Carbonate Equivalent resource.

The year 2026 is set to be transformational for the producer, as it anticipates the delivery of the largest Li-Pro direct lithium extraction equipment ever constructed.

Once operational, Prairie Lithium will become the first fully permitted producer to extract lithium brine from an established oilfield—a structural shift that could redefine industry standards.

The project’s commercial viability is further bolstered by strengthening commodity prices and a robust offtake agreement.

100% of the plant’s initial lithium output has already been sold to Hydro Lithium of Korea.

At the time of reporting, Prairie Lithium's share price was $0.0080.
