PointsBet Holdings (ASX:PBH) has announced the appointment of Andrew Catterall as Group CEO, effective Feb. 1, 2026, pending customary gaming licensing and regulatory approvals.

Catterall, currently CEO of Australia, will succeed Sam Swanell, who will oversee a transition period before moving into an advisory role while remaining on the board as an executive director.

Catterall brings over 20 years of leadership experience across wagering, media, sport, and digital sectors, including prior roles as CEO of Racing.com and senior executive positions at the AFL, Racing Victoria, and the Boston Consulting Group.

Since joining PointsBet in 2022, he has led the Australian operations through operational transformation, enhanced product delivery, and strengthened commercial performance.

PointsBet Chairman Brett Paton praised Swanell's leadership since the company's founding and welcomed Catterall’s appointment, highlighting his strategic expertise and industry experience as key to guiding PointsBet into its next phase.
