PLS Group (ASX:PLS) reported a net profit of $526 million for the 2026 financial year following increased production.

The result compares to a previous net loss of $196 million, supported by higher realised commodity prices.

Revenue jumped 152% year over year to $1.93 billion. It also logged 17% sales growth and a 121% increase in average estimated realised price.

"We delivered record production of approximately 880 thousand tonnes while reducing unit operating costs by 9%, generating $1.1 billion of underlying EBITDA at a 59% margin and $1.4 billion of cash margin from operations," stated PLS Managing Director and CEO Dale Henderson.

The company stated that unit operating costs improved by 9% to $569 per tonne.

A final fully franked dividend of 5 cents per share was determined for payment in September 2026.

With capacity expansion studies advancing, following the announcement, the PLS Group share price was up at $5.07.

The business ended the period with an increased cash balance of $2.29 billion after issuing new bonds.

PLS Group stated that improved market sentiment drove the recent decision to restart its Ngungaju processing plant.
