Perseus Mining (ASX:PRU) announced the appointment of Wade Bickley as the company’s new COO, effective June 1.

The addition to the executive leadership team comes at a critical juncture for the gold miner as it expands its footprint across the African continent.

Bickley, who will be stationed in Perseus’s Dubai office, brings more than 25 years of seasoned industry experience, specialising in gold and base metals operations across Australia, West Africa, and Southern Africa.

His professional background includes high-level roles at several major mining houses. Most recently, he served as COO at Appian Capital Base Metals.

His extensive resume also features technical leadership positions at Anglo American Platinum and AngloGold Ashanti, where he managed the Obuasi mine in Ghana.
