  • Patrys has dosed the first participants in Cohort 1 of its Phase 1a clinical trial for RLS-2202.
  • Following the announcement, the Patrys share price was unchanged at $0.034.
  • The study aims to evaluate safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics to support Phase 1b clinical trials for acute care delirium treatment.

Patrys (ASX:PAB) has commenced human clinical testing by dosing the first participants in a Phase 1a trial for RLS-2202, an intravenous formulation of quetiapine.

The trial represents the drug's transition from preclinical formulation into human evaluation, with the initial cohort receiving both oral quetiapine and RLS-2202 separated by a four-day washout period.

"We have now moved from developing the formulation and preparing for the clinic to generating human clinical data," said Patrys CEO Dr Samantha South.

The dosage schedule uses a dose-escalation design, with progression between cohorts subject to review by an Independent Safety Review Committee in October.

Following the announcement, the Patrys share price was unchanged at $0.034.

Patrys is an Australian biotechnology company focused on developing antibody therapies and treatments for hard-to-treat diseases.

The company is developing RLS-2202 as an intravenous treatment option for delirium in acute care settings.
