Patriot Resources (ASX:PAT) has secured the Tassa 5 tenement, expanding its Peruvian silver-gold footprint to 1,800 hectares.

The new ground increases the company's tenure by 50% from its previous 1,200 hectares.

"Tassa 5 represents the final piece of highly prospective land in the vicinity," said Patriot Resources CEO Dominic Duggan.

The transaction extends the interpreted strike length of the system from 2.9km to 3.1km.

Following the announcement, the Patriot Resources share price was down at $0.06.

Patriot Resources holds a maiden inferred resource of 31.4 million silver equivalent ounces at the project.

Peruvian regulators validated the environmental declaration as the business advances community talks for Phase 1 drilling.
