Australian gold miner Pantoro Gold (ASX:PNR) announced a total gold production of 77,408 ounces for the 2026 financial year.

The production volume fell short of operational expectations due to tight Western Australian labour market conditions and contractor underperformance.

“Importantly, the view has not changed - the longer-term opportunity at Norseman remains compelling, with the Board continuing to view Norseman as a unique tier one growth asset,” said Pantoro Gold Managing Director Paul Cmrlec.

The company stated that a comprehensive operational review is underway to target an increased output of 90,000 to 105,000 ounces next year.

Following the announcement, the Pantoro Gold share price was down at $1.925.

The developer increased its cash and gold balance to $223.4 million.

The business supported its long-term growth strategy by remaining debt-free and allocating $54 million towards active exploration programmes.
