
Pacific Lime and Cement secures US$16.3M investment

Pacific Lime and Cement (ASX:PLA) has secured a US$16.3 million equity investment from the Papua New Guinea government.
The transaction grants state nominee Kumul Mineral Holdings a 13% equity interest in project subsidiary Mayur Industrials PNG.
"This capital commitment reflects over a decade of collaboration," said Pacific Lime and Cement Managing Director Paul Mulder.
Kumul Mineral Holdings retains an option to acquire another 5% stake for US$6.8 million within 180 operational days.
Following the announcement, the Pacific Lime and Cement share price was up at $0.38.
The project development agreement executed in March 2026 establishes the long-term fiscal framework for both regional processing projects.
The state also holds rights to purchase up to 30% of the US$339 million Central Cement Project.
