Origin Energy (ASX:ORG) reported a statutory profit of $1.57 billion for the 2026 financial year, alongside an adjusted free cash flow of $2.07 billion.
The statutory profit increased from $1.48 billion recorded in the previous financial year, driven by energy market improvements despite a drop in integrated gas earnings.
"Origin delivered a solid full-year result, with strong cash generation and continued good performance in energy markets helping offset the expected reduction in commodity-linked earnings in Integrated Gas," said Origin Energy CEO Frank Calabria.
The business posted an underlying profit of $1.16 billion and declared a fully franked final dividend of 30 cents per share.
The company stated that its disciplined strategy aims to support customers through the energy transition and expand its renewables portfolio.
For the energy markets division, underlying EBITDA reached $1.70 billion, compared to $1.40 billion in FY25. Electricity gross profit reached $1.61 billion, while natural gas gross profit came to $612 million.
Following the announcement, the Origin Energy share price was up at $11.26.
The energy company operates across electricity and natural gas retailing, power generation, and upstream liquefied natural gas production.
