Tech titan Oracle has launched its AI Customer Excellence Centre in Sydney.

The facility is designed as a high-tech crucible for businesses to test, implement, and scale next-generation cloud and artificial intelligence solutions through bespoke training, professional certification, and rapid pilot initiatives.

The company confirmed that Oracle AI database services are now locally available on Amazon Web Services within the Australia and New Zealand region, completing a powerhouse trio alongside existing integrations with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.

The interoperability ensures that regional enterprises can leverage Oracle's robust data capabilities regardless of their primary cloud provider.

Oracle ANZ Managing Director, Stephen Bovis, emphasised that while the physical infrastructure is grounded in Sydney, the centre's intellectual property and expertise are highly portable.

"We can bring this capability to wherever you are, within Australia, New Zealand, or the Pacific," Bovis stated, noting the centre's role in reducing complexity and accelerating go-to-market timelines.

Early adopters are already seeing the value of local experimentation. Ryan Klose, CIO of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, highlighted the importance of having a "practical environment" to validate AI solutions in real-world conditions.

By providing a sandbox for proof-of-concept projects, the centre aims to demystify AI adoption, ensuring that critical services and commercial enterprises alike can deploy validated, sovereign-ready technology with confidence.
