Olympio Metals hits high-grade gold at Bousquet Project

Olympio Metals (ASX:OLY) announced a breakthrough at its Bousquet Gold Project in Quebec, Canada, following a successful maiden soil sampling program.

The exploration initiative, which covered a 1.6km2 area with 303 samples, has delineated a new priority exploration zone known as the T1 Target.

Preliminary results are highly encouraging, with several samples returning high-grade gold assays peaking at 0.58 g/t Au.

The T1 Target is characterised by a prospective tonalite intrusion, bolstered by historical drilling data that previously intersected 105km2 at $0.22.

The project sits within the prestigious Cadillac Break, a geological structure renowned for hosting world-class deposits totaling over 110 million ounces of gold.

Its prime location places it within 15km of Agnico Eagle’s La Ronde (15.8Moz) and Iamgold's Westwood (2.4Moz) mines.

Managing Director Sean Delaney expressed optimism, noting that the soil campaign validates the team’s systematic exploration approach and proves the prospectivity of the tonalite intrusion beyond historical data.

With seven key structural positions now identified, Olympio is set to resume drilling this month to follow up on over 100 significant gold intercepts.

At the time of reporting, Olympio Metals’ share price was $0.0060.
