Nova Minerals (ASX:NVA) appointed Ashlie Thorburn as the company's new CFO, effective April 20.
A seasoned finance executive with over two decades of experience, Thorburn joins the gold and critical minerals developer at a pivotal moment as it seeks to transition its flagship Estelle Gold Project in Alaska towards full-scale production.
Thorburn's extensive background spans senior leadership roles within the mining sector, specifically across publicly-listed and private entities.
Her expertise is particularly well-suited for Nova’s dual-listing status, as she possesses deep knowledge of SEC, TSX, and ASX reporting standards.
Most recently, she served as the US Finance Lead at South-west Critical Materials, where she oversaw acquisition integration and treasury management.
Her prior tenure includes significant roles at Armanino Advisory and Hycroft Mining Holding Corp., where she navigated complex financial transformations and supported transitions into the public markets.
Nova CEO Christopher Gerteisen expressed strong confidence in the appointment, noting that Thorburn’s track record in capital allocation and financial modelling for feasibility studies is "instrumental" for the company’s current growth phase.
Beyond her technical accounting prowess, her experience in engaging with US-based institutional investors is expected to bolster Nova's presence in North American capital markets.
