Furniture retailer Nick Scali (ASX:NCK) disclosed a cybersecurity incident that forced the company to take specific operating systems offline.
The network disruption contrasts with normal retail operations, prompting the firm to manually process customer orders and deliveries.
"While we appreciate that this may have caused some delays for, and uncertainty with, customers, we are now in the process of bringing those systems back online," said Nick Scali Executive Chair and CEO Anthony Scali.
The company stated that it currently has no evidence of unauthorised access to customer data, though response times remain slower than usual.
Following the announcement, the Nick Scali share price was unchanged at $16.50.
Cybersecurity incidents have increasingly impacted corporate networks across Australia, prompting heightened regulatory scrutiny on data protection standards.
